Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Arnette I am a plus sized woman born and raised in the great Bahamas on the Island of New Providence. I have four gifted children, and a supportive husband, I've been married for four ravishing years.

Ok now that my establishment is over, What brought me here? Well I am no professional blogger but I feel like I have a lot to say to myself most times about the plus sized fashion industry. The conflict I had was not being socially active, I preferred not to be visible or seen, I was more of a behind the scenes kinda "gal", so I've decided to come out of hiding now since I own a small clothing store in Nassau, Bahamas, Phatfashions Plus. This was a long time dream since I was a chubby little girl who could never find nice fashionable clothes that fit and make me look good. I got frustrated shopping in my hometown with my mom. We would be out all day combing the streets of Nassau only to be told "we don't carry plus sizes"! when we eventually get to a "plus sized store" everything on the racks seem to look like floral curtains!

At this point I felt like something needed to be done about this situation I was often faced with.

About twenty years later here I am finally fulfilling a life long dream despite the many struggles I faced along the way, and currently as I continue, nevertheless the show must go on!
